SUCCESSFUL TRANSFER OF ACID-PROOF VACUUM TANKER!
One of the first VM Tarm vacuum tankers has recently
been transferred to a new chassis. The job was done on
behalf of Thornvig Jensen in Herning, Denmark, who has had the VM
vacuum tanker from new.

It has been incredibly exciting to start up the transfer
of the first vacuum tanker we have built up from the bottom.
From the very beginning we foretold a long lifespan for our
acid-proof constructions, and it is nice to establish that it is
true! In fact it seems that wear and tear are even less than
expected, and as tanker and equipment are made from acid-proof and
stainless steel we can now see that the system can easily last the
lifespan of two trucks which makes it a long-term investment.

Looking at the project for Thornvig Jensen we can absolutely categorize it a success: We transferred the system from an Iveco to a Volvo, and at the same time the hydraulic pump, vacuum pump and general service pump were renovated. We renewed oil hoses etc. - and last but not least - the system and control were upgraded in many ways. All this was done for less than 1/3 of the price for a new, corresponding system, so the little extra price, which the system has from new, breaks a lot more than even!
U.L.R. TransporT (Denmark) got in June 2011 a
44,500 l, ADR pressure-tank semitrailer with 4 compartments. The
tank profile is cylindric with a goose-neck, and tank shell
is made from acid-proof steel (bright annealed).
The chassis is made from stainless steel, and the axles
are 9 tonnes BPW axles, type SHSF - 9010 Airlight 2, with
self-adjusting disk brakes.

In June 2011 Jens Dan Larsen (Denmark) bought a
38,000 l tanker semitrailer for wastewater. The tank profile is
cylindric with goose-neck. The tank shell is made from bright
annealing acid-proof steel.

In February 2010, VM Tarm a/s delivered the first
Danish-manufactured CO2 trailer in corrosion resistant steel.
The tank has a volume of 30 m3 and working pressure of 16
bar.
The customer is YaraPraxair, and the tanker is operated
by Tychsen Transport.
